As per title, the ability to display searchable custom item field value(s) as Field Search Filter Link(s) throughout Showcase where ever custom field values are displayed.
I've added a new option setting to Showcase Item Fields that allows you to turn a custom item field value into a Field Search Filter Link that works in conjunction with the advanced custom field search functionality of showcase.
NOTE: This currently only works with 4 specific field types.
So what exactly does this do?
As you can see in the image below, the Vehicle Color field value is now a Filter LINK (meaning you can click on it). When you click on a filter link, it will take you to the Field Search results page which will display results based on the VALUE (Black) and what Category the Item is in (Mustang)... (see next image for the result).
And here is the RESULT. As you can see, the Field Search Results are based on the Link Filter (Black) and the Category (Mustang). You can then REFINE the results using the "Refine By" feature of the Field Search Results area.
As mentioned above, Filter Links are located where ever custom fields are displayed (Item Page, Tabs, Layouts (Article View, News View, News View II) etc.
Here you can see a custom field filter link in the header of a showcase item
Here you can see custom field filter links on News View II layout. In this shot, I've enabled filter links on another field (Vehicle Wheel Type).
