Not for football in Europe, the home team is always listed first.
It has absolutely nothing to do with "Europe" or "football", but the proper use of
vs and
@ or
AT listings.
When using
VS, yes, the Home Team is listed first as that is the standard when using
VS (verses). Not when using
AT or
@ however (explained below).
As mentioned above HOME @ AWAY is the standard in Europe - we like to be awkward

You contradict your self with your link as the link source uses the
VS standard, not the
AT or
@ standard.
so, just to clear some things up here...
When listing team sports events using the
@ (short for the word AT) symbol or AT, the standard is @ Home Team or AT Home Team.
When listing team sports events (like in your link above) using
VS (short for verses), the standard is
VS Away Team.
VS is not a replacement for nor means the same thing as
@ or
AT.
There is a distinct difference between
@ or AT and
VS. The
@ symbol or
AT term is used to designate the location of where the sport is taking place which is @ Home Team or AT Home Team, not @Away Team or AT Away Team. The use of
VS is used to designate the team that is visiting, hence
vs Away Team and not vs Home Team.
One listing is not a "Standard" over the other. They are simply different formats. They are BOTH used globally and both used for the same sports (I can show plenty of sites that use @ listing for Premier League as well as plenty of sites that show VS for the NFL). It just depends on which format the publication source wants to use.
As far as Pickem is concerned, it is using the @ listing standard throughout. Someday down the road as the addon grows in size and functionality, I might add in the ability to chose @ Standard or VS Standard, but for now its the @ standard.
