New Showcase tab

Im using the core xenforo find-new controller (extending it) and it does not add a CSS class to each tab, so hiding it via CSS is not an option. With that said, disabling the showcase load_class_controller listener that extends the find-new controller (which may have some effects on other functionality for showcase) is probably the best way as the other way would require file edits (which is not something that I provide as support). Why on earth would you want to disable the find-new functionality anyway?

We are using the addon as (staff directory) in university website, each Dr. has a fixed personal page and the students can add their reputations and comments on that page
Therefore, there is no "new items" unless new staff join to our university which may happen one time per year. That's why we care about "new comments" because it is increasing everyday while the number of items is almost the same.

In our case, "New showcase items" tab is showing nothing.

No. Each Tab is its OWN part in the Core XenForo Find-New System. You CAN disable the New Comments and New Reviews, but not the New Items. The same reason you can't combine New Comments with New Items is the Reason you can combine New Resources, new Media, New Profile Posts, New SC Items etc with New Posts. They are each their OWN thing.
