Answered How to hide elements and blocks on SC?

I would like to hide/remove the following things on Category:

1. Trending Items block
2. Category navigation block
3. Filters drop down

And on Item page:

1. Item information sidebar block
2. Share this Item sidebar block

Should I do this by hiding it in Extra.less in a similar way to XF1?
If so, what code should I use in XF2.3.4 and SC 3.3.3

This question is not urgent. It can wait. Please do not let it distract you from your vacation.

1. Trending Items block

This is a Widget. Simply edit the widget and uncheck the appropriate display location(s) or delete the widget altogether (it's a widget added by Showcase, so it should only be configured to display on showcase pages).

Category navigation block

Category pages have their own template xa_sc_category_view

Edit that template, then scroll to the bottom of the template. You will see the block of code that generates the category navigation block. Comment that out.

Not sure why the heck you'd want to take away such an important content discovery tool from your members that literally takes up no space...

Search the xa_sc_category_view template for list_filter_bar macro and comment it out appx line 132-136.

Edit the xa_sc_item_view template. Scroll towards the end of the template. Both blocks are very obvious and you should just comment them out via XF comment tag.

That is not located in the item_view templates, it is in the header macro in the item wrapper macros template. You just need to comment it out or remove it.
