Post update/bump Showcase Item

PS we don't use Showcase add-on with forum nodes. So if you implemented this feature, it would be awesome like Resource Manager (Post Resource Update) or Bump Thread add-ons or after reply comment (like reply to thread) showcase item will go to up (the top of list item).

You can already do that. You can edit a showcase item and make sure the "Post as Update" is checked. This will change the update_date field for the showcase item.

THEN, what you need to do is make the default sort order for your page be set to "Recently Updated" instead of "Recently Added". This will then display the items in the most recently updated order.

AdminCP >> Options >> Showcase >> Home Page (also each page type has these same settings)

You must make sure the "Recently Updated" Sort Order Type is enabled. Then you set the Default Sort Order Type to Date: Recently Updated.

No. Only changes to the ITEM itself.

USER Reviews and Comments do not effect the ITEM dates. That would really cause problems if they did.
