As per title, I've implemented an Activity summary definition for updates titled "Showcase: Latest updates". This definition is for creating Activity summary section(s) pertaining to Showcase Item Updates.
Note: You will need to create Activity Summary Section(s) via Admin CP >> Communication >> Activity summary >> [Add activity summary section] and choosing the activity summary definition "Showcase: Latest updates" and then configuring the section to your specific needs (Title, display order, max entries, categories that you want updates fetched from, min reaction score ext..).
Some screen shots of what the email looks like for updates.... no different than any of the other activity summary types.
