Not Planned [XF1] Upload videos

Currently, like xenforo core, users could embed videos from other sites by specifying a URL when creating an item. I am wondering if Showcase could possiblely consider allowing users be able to upload self created videos as attachments to Showcase items? Some compressing/converting mechanism probably have to be integrated too to control the size of the attachments, and possibly each user has to have a quota of space to use...... Is this something doable, or am I in my pure fantasy world...?

If core XF ever has a video uploading mechanism built in, I'd probably take a look into it. Until then, you are better off embedding.

don't pout... with Kier and Mike back on the active development track, lots of things will be happening over the next several months that will drastically change what everyone can do. I am positive that at some point, there will be more complex video "stuff" available.
