Recently a Brand asked me to sticky some of their products on their brand page and on category, because these products are their bestsellers.
It would be nice and useful to be able to Sticky Items on brand page and category. There may be other places where it could be useful to sticky an Item.

We can mark a forum thread as stick and then it will display at the top of the forum regardless of sort order.
Similarly I'd like to make a RMS Item as sticky so that it will stay at the top of a listing.
For example on the Brands page I'd like to be able to use the moderating modal to select an Item and then select 'Stick Item'. When this is applied it would show the Sticky items at the top. It should also be possible to Unstick Item to undo this.
For consistency Stick / Unstick could also be added to the 'More options' Item Tools drop down on the Item page as well, but its not need IMHO.

I think this would be useful in the following locations:
Category
Brand page - Product Tab
Store page - Product tab

Being able to Stick/Unstick would already be really nice. So the simplest implementation of it would be welcome. If it is the simplest implementation, that it being sticky means the Item is stick in all 3 locations above, then that is fine. If the simplest implementation is that the Item can to be stickied in one or more of the above locations, then thats fine as well.

In terms of permissions: It would be consistent with Forum permissions to have a Moderator Permission 'Stick / Unstick Item'. But IMHO its a redundant permission. IMHO any moderator should be able to stick/unstick.
For me it would suffice if Brand / store owners can request it from moderators.

I expanded the above. Please let me know if I need to add more details or explanation.

Just to clarify something, you do not sticky an item for a brand. I have a feeling that you want to view the Products Tab of a Brand and then be able to choose an item and sticky it ONLY ON THAT BRAND and only on the Products Tab of that Brand (not the Category page that owns the Item).

I can't (and even if I could, won't) added 3 or 4 different sticky functions. That would be INSANE lol

I will considered STANDARD Sticky behavior, which is to have a function to sticky an item (all item types, not just item type item), which will display sticky items on Category Pages that those items are owned by.

I can also do that on Products Tab of a Brand so that any sticky items that are products of a brand, would display above non sticky'd items. There are a few other cases like on Stores that have Brands Tab and Products Tab. Those could also be tweaked to display sticky items first.

Yes, indeed. One Sticky status to affect the product on all listing pages (brand, category) would be great.

ya, that IS doable for Item Type "Item" and in the future Item Type "Product'.

What I am not 100% sure about yet is sticking the other Item Types. Obviously Category pages would be the same behavior, but not sure about Section Navigation (Item Type Index pages). That I will have to think about as those are NOT the same as a Category Page.

Note: This is not anything that I need input from you. Its R&D that I need to do on my own to not only see if its feasable, but if it makes sense.
