I will direct this to Bob but all input is welcomed

We have been running the old version of Sportsbook since we made the switch to Xenforo in 2017 and yesterday finally made the move to the latest version of Xenforo and the updated Sportsbook.

Sportsbook

We have a dedicated group of users going back to when we ran vBookie and we usually reset 3 times a year - our tournaments are fiercely competitive.

I have a number of questions and I sense a voice call will be needed but for starters

1. I see no easy way to reset everyone's cash as SB 1.0 had in the CP
2. I see no way of limiting users to one bet per option.

I don't see a way where I can set a universal default on the betting limit on an event as well.

3. Creating an event seems harder and the timer in 5-minute intervals is a minor pain as NHL games faceoff at 08 or 38 and since we also do horse racing I would like all 60-minute options.

4. I can't find a stats page where users can check the leaderboard.

The one feature my users have begged for is to keep the amount of their wagers hidden from other players.

Looking forward to any advice and guidance.

My email is fenway@hfboards.com

1. I see no easy way to reset everyone's cash as SB 1.0 had in the CP

Admin CP >> Sportsbook >> Cash tools >> Mass reset cash

Note: This only works with Sportsbook Cash. If you are using a 3rd party cash system, you will need to use that 3rd party cash systems tools to do that.

I see no way of limiting users to one bet per option.
That is not currently an available option, permission, event setting or outcome setting.

If you NEED something that Sportsbook currently does not offer, you can start a suggestion thread in the Sportsbook Suggestions Forum. Also, please include FULL DETAILS of what you want and how it would fit in with the existing features.

There is none and there never will be. That is not how a Sportsbook operates. Its the Wagers on Outcomes is how sportsbooks operates. A Sportsbook Event is just a collection of Outcomes.

Outcomes is what you need to be focused on as Outcomes are what members place Wagers on.

Take a look at the Advanced options and Auto lock options that are available for each Outcome.

Each individual outcome has advanced options that lets the Bookie set the Min wager amount and the Max wager amount that pertains to the individual outcome JUST LIKE REAL SPORTSBOOKS DO.

Note: These can be adjusted at any time, just like real sportsbooks do.

Each individual outcome has Auto lock options. This feature allows bookies a way to automate the locking of an individual outcome when certain limits are hit.

Auto Lock - by wagers placed... setting this will LOCK the OUTCOME (not the event, the OUTCOME) once X amount of wagers have been placed... so if this is set to 10, that means that the bookie is only accepting 10 wagers on this specific outcome. This is TOTAL WAGERS, not wagers per user!

Auto Lock - by amount staked... setting this will LOCK the OUTCOME (not the event, the OUTCOME) once the total amount of states has reach X... so if this is set to 10,000, once $10,000 of stakes has been wagered, the Outcome will be LOCKED.

Auto lock - by date... This lets the bookie set a specific data/time to lock the individual outcome (for cases where the outcome is only offered for a limited amount of time). This is a HUGE feature for Events that have different start and end times (one of the single most popular new advanced features for Sportsbook).

Note: These can be adjusted at any time, just like real sportsbooks do.

Note: Bookies can also MANUALLY Lock/Unlock each individual outcome (again, just like real sportsbooks do).

3. Creating an event seems harder
An Event is nothing more than a Title and Close Date. TWO REQUIRED INPUTS. All the other inputs are OPTIONAL.

These fields do NOT need to be added during the creation of an Event:
  • Description
  • Tags
  • Location
  • Attendance (which can't even been added until AFTER the event)
  • Event details
  • Custom fields
How HARD is it to type in a title and set a close date?

and the timer in 5-minute intervals is a minor pain as NHL games faceoff at 08 or 38 and since we also do horse racing I would like all 60-minute options.
You will need to post a suggestion in the suggestion for this (do NOT create 1 suggestion thread with multiple suggestions, each individual suggestion needs its own suggestion thread as each individual suggestion is considered and track individually).

The one feature my users have begged for is to keep the amount of their wagers hidden from other players.
Yet, you've not created a suggestion for that in the Sportsbook suggestions forum. If you want me to consider something, you need to create a suggestion for it (and each suggestion needs its own suggestion thread).
