Is it safe to disable the template modification against account_alert_preferences?

Hi,

While I finish the translation, I'd like to disable member's ability to make changes on their Sportsbook's alert preferences. This being said, is it safe to disable the template modification against account_alert_preferences in order to prevent changes to their Sportsbook alert preferences?
