Betting Exchange, can't remove Close Date?

I noticed that when creating bets, not necessarily just on the betting exchange, if you click in the "Close Date" box, the calendar pop up opens and the current date is inserted into the text box.

But on the betting exchange, I might just accidentally click that box, but not really want to set a close date. When that happens, it doesn't look like I can clear the close date.

There HAS to be a close date. You can't create a bet without one (well, you can, but it will be created EXPIRED lol) .

When a bet is OPEN (for anyone to claim), the CLOSE DATE will EXPIRE the Bet if no one claims it before the CLOSE date hits.
When a bet is PENDING, the CLOSE DATE will EXPIRE the bet if the challenger does not accept it by the CLOSE date.
When a bet has been accepted, the CLOSE DATE will change the Bet from Accepted to AWAITING (so that it can be Settled).

The best way to set the CLOSE date is right be for the Event that you are betting on takes place (like before kick off of a football game for example).

Oh that's right. I forgot. You have to set a close date or the event can never be settled unless you manually change it
