Hello,

can you help me? I set in my xenforo support for webp pictures. I use RMS for reviews golf courses, and now we cant insert/upload images as attach... It doesn't work for me for attachments to the review.

Thanks for your advice

A couple things.

Webp is new to XF 2.3.0. The latest version of RMS is 2.2.10, for XF 2.2.

I've not released an XF 2.3 compatible version of RMS yet (and its going to be awhile).

Again, RMS 2.2.10 is NOT compatible with XF 2.3. There are several functions/features in RMS 2.2.10 that will NOT WORK if you are running XF 2.3.0 eg, as an example, anything AJAX related won't work (things like replies to Questions, Reviews etc) as those were jQuery dependant in XF 2.2 and jQuery has been removed in XF 2.3. Point is, even tho SOME features of RMS will work, quite a bit doesn't.

The XF 2.3 version of RMS (currently RMS 2.3.0 Alpha, which is still being developed), has WEBP support for all content type attachment handlers.

Some advice? Next time, don't upgrade XenForo without first making sure that there are compatible versions of all addons available for download (especially critical ones like RMS).

Thanks for the quick response. Ok, my mistake, I should have waited, however I was confused that CAS and AMS are already fully functional for 2.3. But you're right, I should be more attentive (we don't use many of the things you mention in practice in our community, so the only thing that doesn't work for us are the attachments just mentioned).

We will therefore look forward to a similar update to the RMS update. Alternatively, we will switch to IMS. (y)

Not sure why RMS 2.2.10 attachments are not working on XF 2.3.0. That is not something that needed updating.

AMS 2.2.X, CAS 2.2.X, IMS 2.2.X, LD 2.2.X, SC 3.2.X, UBS 2.2.X, Sportsbook 2.2.X running on XF 2.3.0, had no issues with uploading attachments. There is something else in play if RMS 2.2.10 running on XF 2.3.0 attachments don't work (works just fine for me and I've not made any adjustments to attachments handlers in XF 2.3 versions of my addons with the exception of adding webp as an allowed attachment extension).

I agree. I have "webp" set in RMS settings, and also in options - attachments.

When i add RMS new item (golf course) - I can add images (jpeg->webp). When i add new review of the item, error message - allowed attachments are only "png, jpg, jpeg, jpe, gif"

I don't know where I forgot to set something. Elsewhere on the forum I no longer have this problem (but we also don't use reviews anywhere else).

Yes, that is because the attachment handler for Reviews in RMS 2.2.10 does not support webp. The attachment handler for Reviews in RMS 2.3.0 does support webp and that will be automatic when you upgrade.

For now, just forget about webp. That will be available when you upgrade to RMS 2.3.0 :)

I understand. :)

A little over time I would like to ask if the availability date of this add-on for 2.3 is approaching. We have about 500+ reviews, and yet it would be a shame to come. Or does it make more sense to try to overwrite them manually on IMS, which might be up to date and serve the same purpose?

Or would it be possible to intercede for speeding up? Thanks.

RMS 2.3.0 Beta 1 will be available in the next few weeks :)
