Event Management in the Admin CP is fairly limited. Its main purpose is to allow Admins to remove Abandon Events as well as Globally Manage Pending Events (as only the Bookie of the Event can manage Pending events on the Frontend Bookie CP). I will be adding (in a future version) an "Awaiting Settlement" area in the Admin CP to alert Admins of Events that are x amount of days past the settlement date. Beyond that, normal Event Management (Open, Close, Edit, Settle and Outcome Management) is and will be handled on the front end only.
Beta3 is ready now, just doing some CSS/Template tweaking while the Store Front (Cart and License system) is being finished for the site.

Yes, which is really close. If it takes longer than 2 weeks for the Store Front to be ready, then I will make special arrangements (for those that have been waiting) to purchase it directly. The Store Front is already up and running on xenique.com, so its just a matter of David getting our unique setup in place here on xenfluence.com .
It is similar to vbookie in that it is a virtual wagering system, but its not a port of vbookie.
Using Trophy points in one of 3 Cash/Points System options (see the image below). The PRIMARY option is using its own built in cash system.
Pay Pal has nothing to do with this cept purchasing it once the Store Front is up and running.
The Addon has not been released yet, so there are no translations that have been done. It is however fully phrased, so translations are possible once released.

1. I plan on enhancing the "comments" down the road. For now they will remain simple. I may add BBCODE parsing to them in the next version tho.

3. This addon is built within the xf framework and can be easily extended just like xenforo itself is. As far as XenPorta, I am sure that someone will write some Modules for this. I personally don't have any plans to write and release any myself tho as I don't use XenPorta.

Wagers can be placed when the event is in an "Open" Status. When you create an event, you set a "close" Date and when that date/time hits, CRON automatically changes the event status from Open to Closed or Awaiting Settlement (as there is a Settle after date/time as well.
I set events to close right when they start.
Anytime after the entire event is complete. Bookies in real life settle within 48 hours.
Would it be possible to include the ability to upload a thumbnail for each category, as well as uploading a thumbnail for a bet. For instance, letting peeps upload a NBA logo for the NBA category. Would it also be possible to upload a thumbnails for an event, such as Knicks vs Lakers, we can upload the logo or a funny picture of the team mates.

Can't wait for this to be available to the public. I have been hounding bob for months about this 
I too would like to see an option to upload images etc to the event or at least the category. I run a sports site and just think it would be great to have an image of a soccer ball for the category for those who are too lazy to realize that they are about to enter the soccer category etc.

Category Icons have already been added into the core and is currently running on the Demo site. When you create a category, you have the option to add a category Icon which will replace the Bookies Avatar in all relevant locations (event listings and event pages). If you choose not to use a category icon, the bookies avatar will be displayed.

Awesome - as I have said on xF site that it's a shame I missed out on the BETA my members are dying for this and have been hounding me since we switched to xF for it so I continue to come here waiting for the release
David (onimua) will make an announcement when the Store Front goes live. I MAY do some early sales before then (depending on how far out the store front is). I've got a few others that are patiently waiting as well. Have you used it at Stewarts site?
