Great to see the additions of event management in the ACP and the simplicity of adding the credits system you choose to use.

Is there a 'Getting Started' type guide? Something that sort of steps me through creating a season, races, competitors etc. Also, based on experience, how much money is a reasonable amount to start all users off with, what criteria/traits to look for in a bookie, etc? I read the Tips n Tricks topic and also many of the topics in the Sportsbook Support Forums, but still not sure on these points. Thanks.

Can I copy events, to create a new one? I couldn't see such functionality in the demo, but perhaps I missed.
For example, if I am creating a the F1GP season I have multiple races(events) to create where the outcomes(competitors) are the same but I just need to change the race/event details (location, date, etc) and modify the odds. Thus it is far easier to create the first race in the season and copy it into 12 new races instead of having to start from scratch for every single race. Going forward, I can all see the benefit in being able to copy a whole season of races into a new season (copy 2012 into 2013, etc.)
Thanks.

One of the first things you need to do is find yourself a decent online betting site that has "odds" for your races. What circuit is it? I might be able to help find a decent one. My site only does NASCAR as far as races are concerned. We had a couple decent Odds sites that list all the drivers and the payout odds... then its just a matter of creating outcomes for each Driver and opening up the event :)

As far as start out money. It all boils down to your individual site and if you are integrating it with another points system or just keeping it internal. I personally start out new members with $1000.

For bookies, I make sure that they understand how to properly set odds. The worst thing you can do is just let ANYONE create, cause they will do stupid shit like 100 to 1 Odds on something that has a very high probability of payout and that is just WRONG lol

You have full access to the DEMO and can do everything that an Administrator can do on the frontend. I'd play around with it and then ask question if you can't figure something out. It is super easy to work with.

Nope on the Copy and I have no idea if that will ever be an option. I believe someone has already asked for it in the suggestions forum (altho, I might be thinking of Pickem where someone wanted to clone pools). Feel free to create a thread in the Suggestions for that specific functionality. Can't guarantee that it will ever be an option tho.

Looking forward to that expansion of the comments Bob. Finding how much I miss it now that we're having conversations on the event as the event occurs, using it as a running discussion. The only two things that are an issue, from mine and my members view, is to post links into it and attach images that we take of snapshots of pieces of game, etc, that we want to show another.

Very happy with the latest updates to sportsbook though. Easier to use is better.

Hi Bob,
Thinking about trying this sportsbook and just tried it out here on your forum. It seems like the odds doesnt change depending on how many wagers there is. Lets say 10 people bet on the first of two options, shouldnt that odds be lower than the 2nd with less wagers? Thanks.

No, ODDS are STATIC eg, they don't change based on wagering. You (as a bookie) can change the ODDS for any outcome at any time. When users places a wager, that wager is locked in on the ODDS at the time of the wager (the odds are stored with the Wager record).

There is a suggestion for FLOATING ODDS (which dynamically changes ODDS based on wagers placed). I've not had any time to look into that type of system yet.
