Based on the question I asked about the slider and the size of the images, is it possible for a future version to have a responsive block(s) that can be placed in different sections of the site, showing a selected number of items - either hand-picked or from featured items?
It would be desirable if the images in those blocks could fit the width of the container and have their sizes (height and width) based off the thumbnail size set in global options but in a responsive fashion. Just like the grid layout on the main and category pages.
The slider is OK in some circumstances but it can look a bit in your face and out of proportion to the rest of the layout.
