I think this problem came after i installed AMS.....The picture is from Resources, i get this every time i try to save a new file.......Is there something i have to adjust in AMS ????

None of my addons have any conflicts with XFRM or XFMG. I have XFMG and XFRM installed on all of my development instances for the exact purpose of making sure there are no conflicts with Core XF, XFRM or XFMG.

AMS has NO connection with any functions from either XFRM or XFMG.

The ONLY way AMS could ever conflict with XFRM is if you had an addon that tied to two addons together.

That error is coming FROM XFRM and is telling the viewing user that they must upload a file or provide an external link (due to the type of Resource being created).

To expand on this... that is just a specific XFRM error that is being thrown due to the Type being set to "Upload files" or "External download URL"

Here you can see that I am creating a Resource and have the "Upload files" radio button set and have not uploaded any files, so when I hit Save, it throws an error saying that I must upload a file or provided an external download URL.

btw, this is on XF 2.3.4 instance with only XF, XFRM, XFMG and XFES installed.

Ok, thank you, It's good to hear that AMS has nothing to do with XFRM, I did exactly like you, checked Upload file....then that error comes up, maybe I should uninstall XFRM and reinstall it

Did you UPLOAD A FILE? If you are not uploading a FILE, that is why the error is being thrown. If you want to create a FILELESS resource, then you need to check one of the other types that doesn't require uploading a file.

When I choose the option to upload a file and upload a file, it creates the resource just fine.

That upload does not LOOK "right". Maybe choose a different file.

Choose "Does not have a file" and see if it creates the resource.

I just uploaded a different file.....And this time it,s uploaded.....OK, thank you for great help.....I know a little bit more now :)

Make sure the extension is listed in your allowable ones. I know when I tried to upload a DMG (Mac OS related install) to mine for some astro software it would not accept it and I think (but don't remember for sure) I got a similar error. That has been a few months ago.
Bob's add-ons also have some areas I think that are linked to extensions that are allowed to be uploaded, but those would not have anything to do with XFRM.
