That is a dynamic phrase, meaning that data is passed into the phrase via a placeholder.

When you see {...} in a phrase, those are placeholders in which dynamic data is passed into that phrase. This allows you to have a single phrase instead of having 20 versions of the same phrase for 20 different content types for example. XenForo uses this A LOT as do most addons.

{item_type} is a placeholder within that phrase.

Phrase: xa_rms_looking_for_a_specific_item_type

Phrase text: Looking for a specific {item_type}?

How this dynamic phrase is used in RMS.

{{ phrase('xa_rms_looking_for_a_specific_item_type', {'item_type': $itemType}) }}

As you can see, data is passed into the phrase, in this case, the $itemType variable is being passed into the phrase via the item_type placeholder.

The actual Item Type (brand, item, restaurant, store etc) is passed in, not another phrase (just like what XF does with thread types in a lot of dynamic phrases).

Hope that makes sense, I've yet to have coffee this morning!

I got some but in my case i have translate all 100% already (( The actual Item Type (brand, item, restaurant, store etc))) this is already translated to swedish , the only visible in front is just brand,hotels etc who can't show up in swedish when i have translate all or i cant translate it ?? whatever i do?

The ITEM TYPE is not a PHRASE. There are phrases for Item Types, however, its expecting the ACTUAL item type, which is not a phrase. The item type in this case can not be translated as its not a phrase. Its not a simple matter of using phrases, there is both programming logic and template logic that expect the actual item type, not a phrase. It would need to be an XF 2.4 version change (which if you post a suggestion for it at Area 51, I might be able to fit it in an XF 2.3 version).

Its okey . no worries , now i know atleast ;) , translating all add-ons i have licens for , i can disable searchbox in the areas for the future . Thanks for quick answer
