Here is a sneak peak at the new layout for the Image Gallery Tab. This new layout is fully responsive (as shown in the images below).

full width

This is full width right before the first media query breaking point (as the sidebar disappears past this point). As you can see, the main image resized as well as the thumbs slider dynamically resized.

This is after the first responsive breaking point (sidebar drops to the bottom). As you can see, after the side bar dropped, the image resized larger from the previous image as well as the thumbs slider.

This view is after the Narrow responsive break (for smart phones).

This view explains what the two boxes are in the upper right of the gallery. The Thumbnail slider can be enabled/disabled and you can navigate left and right via the arrows on the large image itself.

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
Important Note: When you give users the permission to view showcase, but not permission to view attachments, the large image in the gallery will be replaced by the showcase thumbnail (which is roughly 300px).

As you can see, this member has view permissions for showcase, but does not have view attachments permissions, so in place of the large image, they will only see the generated thumbnail image (which for showcase is a decent size based on 300px width).

Very well done, the new layout looks fresh and a lot better than the previous one.
