As per title, I've added the ability to set a Headline Layout Type as well as control the Layout Type options for the Headline Layout type.

Currently, the Headlines Layout is a modified version of the Article View Layout. Starting with Showcase 2.7.1, you can now choose between Article View, News View, News View II, Tile View, Grid View, Custom View and Custom View II. NOTE: List View is not available as a Headline Type layout!

You can also control the look of the headlines layout via Layout Type Options.

Altho this is new to Showcase, this feature has been used in AMS for over 2 years now and is also used in UBS (User Blogs System) and RMS (Review Management System).

This allows you to do stuff like this on Modular Layout...

This is a Category that has its Modular Layout Options - Home Page set to use 3 Headlines in TILE View with only the Title displaying and 3 non headlines displayed using News View II with Author Rating, User Rating and Snippet.

Lets change it to use News View II as the headlines and use Grid View for the Non Headlines...

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
IMPORTANT NOTE: One of the POST UPGRADE STEPS is required if you are using HEADLINES for any Modular Layout blocks!

SC 2.7.1: Admin CP >> Applications >> Showcase >> Showcase Categories >> Edit Each Category that you are using MODULAR LAYOUT HEADLINES with. You will need to set the Healdines Layout type and Headlines Layout Type Options. You only need to do this if you are using HEADLINES for any Modular Blocks!
