As per Title, there is a New General Option for Item Fields "Allow View Field by" which allows you to set which user groups are allowed to view this field when viewing a showcase item (or item list when the field is set to display on list).
NOTE: If a user does not have permission to view Showcase or the Showcase Item itself, this setting will not apply.
Here is a screen shot of an existing field called PRICE. As you can see, there is a new option located on the General Options Tab of each field. This option has 2 main options (All User Groups or Selected User Groups... NOTE: default is set to ALL). Selected User Groups allows you to set specific user groups (one or more).
Lets set this field (and a few others Performance, Value and Vehicle Modifications) to be viewable to ALL User Groups except 'Unregistered / Unconfirmed'
Now lets check out the frontend....
As you can see, the viewing user is NOT Logged in (GUEST) which uses the "Unregistered / Unconfirmed" user group. Since the viewing user is NOT in a user group that is allowed to view these fields, they won't display
Lets log in and see what happens. Now that the viewing user is logged in and belongs to one or more of the selected user groups, they are able to view the field content.
Same thing applies on the Showcase Item pages themselves. As you can see, the viewing user is NOT logged in, therefor won't be able to view the Fields that are set to be viewable by specific user groups.
However, when logged in and the viewing user belongs to one or more of the selected user groups for a specific field, they can view the field content.
