Not Possible Import League Schedule

I think there was a suggestion for the sportsbook to allow users to import fixtures and odds etc but that could be quite complicated. It seems to make more sense to allow it for the pickem though - particularly for leagues like the NFL where all the fixtures are known in advance.

Outside of a forum structure I've previously used PHP Pick 'Em and that has a facility to import fixtures and then results. It works really well. The results aren't as important I don't think but importing fixtures and the relevant times etc would be useful.

Its not something that can be done because of Team IDs. Not every one will have the same Team IDs. Take soccer for example. I don't include premier league teams with pickem, so to use pickem for soccer, you have to add the teams. You may add the Spurs in first which will have a team id of 114 (for example) whereas someone else may add them in later which would have a team ID of 126. Games store the team_ids for each match.. so you may have a game vteam_id = 114 (Team A) hteam_id 115 (Team F) and to someone else that would be (Team D) and (Team G).

When it was just NFL Pickem (which is how it started), it would be a piece of cake, because everyone would have the same team IDs. Opening up the Addon to make it usable for any sport closed the door on being able to do certain things like this.

That wasn't something I had thought of. Thanks for thinking it through.

I guess the TeamIDs are all sequential, I'm thinking if there would be a way for a few people to use the same teams with the same assigned Team IDs and then we could share via some sort of sql query. Might be more hassle than it's worth though.
