As per title, I've added a new feature to Sportsbook that allows Open Events to be Featured.
This is a permissions based feature for Bookies and Moderators.
When the viewing user has permission to feature / unfeature a given event, they will see a "Feature event" link in the More options dropdown of an event.
If the event is already featured, the link will say "Unfeature event".
Featured Events can be displayed in a Carousel on Sportsbook Index and Category pages. This is controlled by 2 sportsbook options.
The Featured events limit option is what is used to enable the block as well as tell the system the maximum amount of featured events to fetch for the carousel.
The 2nd option will remove duplicate events from being display in the Events listing (as well as in the Upcoming Events Carousel).
For now (Pre XF 2.3), Sportsbook uses a standardized carousel for all types of Sportsbook carousels (Feature, Upcoming, Latest, Popular etc).
Here you can see both the Featured Events carousel and the Upcoming Events Carousel (using the standardized carousel layout).
This also includes a Widget Definition that allows you to create Featured Events Widgets.
Here are the options included in the Featured Events Widget Definition. As you can see, this definition allows you to create both simple and full size featured events widgets.
