Variation of this suggestion: Implemented - Home Page Categories Block
Starting with AMS 1.5.0 Beta 1, there is a new Per Category option that will allow you to enable a responsive Sub Categories Block above the Main Content on the AMS Category page. This block displays Sub Categories visually via a responsive "Tile View".
This block display below the Articles Ticker and above the Articles Slider. (easy template edit to move it below the Slider or Above the Ticker).
Block Behavior:
Note: This is NOT designed for those of you that do things like have 100's of Sub Cats under one umbrella.

Block Behavior:
- This block can be Enabled/Disabled on a per Category Basis.
- When Enabled, you can set a Block Title (OPTIONAL).
- When Enabled, All Sub Categories will be included (the entire tree)
- Users will only see Sub Categories that they have permission to view.
- Only Sub Categories with a Category Image will be displayed.
- Only displayed on Page 1 if there are multiple pages.
- Works on both Modular Category Pages and Category Index pages.
