When it comes to SEO, XenForo already makes extensive use of best practices. Of course, there is always room for improvement. That’s why I am making a handful of changes to help take things to the next level. This is one of those changes and I've already posted a few more in other implemented/updated suggestion threads.
Category index controls
There are situations where you may want more control over how articles in a particular category are indexed by search engines. New category options let you do just that.
You will be able to choose whether search engines can index all articles, no articles, or only a set of articles meeting certain criteria on a per-category basis.
Note: These settings also effect the SiteMap (the sitemap will only contain AMS Categories and AMS Articles that are allowed to be indexed).

In this shot, you can see the various criteria that you can use to determine which articles get indexed or not.
