Announcement thread tab does not go to top of Showcase item

I'm creating announcement threads separate from the showcase item and then linking the thread to the item.

Within the announcement thread, if a user clicks Featured Poetry, it takes the user to the beginning of the item rather than the top of the showcase page. Why is that? How do I change the behavior?

IT because its using the # which takes it to the top of the element. Its just how TAB CONTAINERS work. I don't "THINK" it can be modified (altho, when I have time, I can try some other tricks). its behaving how the technology that I am using works tho.
