Hi Bob, just wondering if there is a setting buried somewhere that will allow me to add a title to the Articles widget on my home page, as you can see it's just crying out for a title:

When asking for support, you need to post a screen shot using an unedited version of the core xf default style. This takes any Custom Style issues out of play.

As you can see below (using an unedited core xf default style), if you don't add a "Title" to the optional "TITLE" input for the widget, the uses a default title "Latest articles".

You can also add a Custom Title for your widget via the optional TITLE input for the widget.

There is also an input that lets you change the LINK for the block title (default goes to new articles) where as you might want it to go to a specific category page....

btw, that doesn't LOOK like a widget that I include with AMS. What WIDGET DEFINITION did you use to add a WIDGET that looks like AMS Articles List (which is a Controller Plugin used on AMS Index and AMS Category Pages).

TO me, that looks like AMS Home page with you adding some widgets to it and you are pointing the arroiw to the ARTICLE LIST for AMS Index page (which doesn't have a TITLE). Where you are pointing the arrow at is where FILTERS will be displayed when the article listing is filtered.

Yes you're correct Bob, I was not using the Latest Articles widget, the Latest Articles widget did not show up in my list of available widgets until you pointed this out and I went and manually added it with the "Add Widget" button.

I would not have known that widget existed until you just pointed it out.

Now that I am using the widget on the home page of my forum (because I want the widget title to be showing) how do I remove the Controller Plugin? It displays the same content as the widget so I essentially have the same thing twice on my homepage now: Home

Also, I don't want the Block Title of the Latest Articles widget to be hyoperlinked, is there a way to remove the link completely?

Once again, I greatly appreciate your patience and wonderful support Bob, I know you must be tired of hearing from me by now.

You can't. The ControllerPlugin IS the AMS Index page.

AMS does have two types of index pages (Standard, which fetches content for a Filterable, Paginated listing (that is what you are using) as well as Modular Index, which is basically a BLANK SLATE that you add Widgets to via the Core XF Widget System.

When using AMS Modular index page, you need to use the modular index display positions (which there are only 2):

I'll probably add a 3rd display location AMS modular index: Sidenav as well (so you can have a 3 column layout)

I've added a new widget position "AMS modular index: Sidenav" in AMS 2.2.0 Beta 3.

This allows you to do 3 column (Sidenav .. Main .. Sidebar) layouts.
