For Items that are products we want to display a price, because it leads to more sales. We want to display it on the Item page and on layouts.
Please consider to add a price field to items that display a currency symbol and a price value. i.e. $15 or €12.99

The price of a product consists of Schema.org
offers → priceSpecification → price
offers → priceSpecification → priceCurrency

As the price is displayed on the site of the vendor that we link to (affiliate link) we need to fetch the current price from that page. Of course this can be done by hand when creating the item. But prices change in time and displaying the wrong price can lead to disappointment.
Please consider to add a feature to regularly fetch the price from the page.

I've marked this as "Not considered" so that you can pursue custom development. This is simply outside the scope of the addon.

Is it OK to post a new suggestion for a price field with currency similar to CAS? (No price checking. Just a field that has currency and a number)

Please don't. I have no plans at all to implement CAS features into RMS.

That would require a new Item Type 'product' and I am not even finished with then 5 newest Item Types (Business, Hotel, Restaurant, Store and Venue).

You can start a suggestion thread for a new Item Type called 'product' which would loosely be based on CAS For Sale ads type features (not a 1 to 1 implementation mind you).

Yes, they are, You can select which Item Types you allow in a category. You can also display the item types on the Sections navigation on RMS home.

Are these Items currently in RMS?
Item Types were introduced in RMS 2.0.0 (way before XF introduced Thread Types in XF 2.2).

I started off with 2 Item Types, Item and Brand.

I then started working on 2 more Item Types, Store and Venue in RMS 2.2.11. Item Type Venue also included a new content type Event.

As XF 2.3 was taking longer than expected, I started working on 3 additional Items Types, Business, Hotel and Restaurant.

I also developed a multi-location frame work for Item Types Business, Hotel, Restaurant and Store. This was a massive undertaking, but well worth it in the long run.

I also developed a Check-in framework for members to be able to Check In to a Business, Hotel, Restaurant, Store and Event. This includes checking into a specific location of a multi-location item 😎

Anyway... RMS 2.2.11 and RMS 2.2.12 were never released, so all of the above was released with RMS 2.3.0.
