Not Planned [XF1] Showcase Categories as a Widget

Hi,
Is it possible to display the showcase categories section as a widget? Simply put, i would like to place the categories in a widget to be displayed on the forum_list sidebar, to drive traffic to the showcase items sections.

You'd have to do some development. Either a phpCallback block or [bd] WF renderer (or listener to expose the data). The showcase controller and showcase category controller expose the data for their respective sidebar block (to include the category also using a view). TEMPLATES are just "dummies". They only display things when Data is exposed to them by the Controller for the page you are viewing.

This would be something that would fall under a custom request.
