I have some questions that I'm not sure if this is something I'm overlooking or not, if these aren't here I suppose they would be requests:

1. For the gallery and cover image, I've noticed that images attached using the "Insert image" function don't seem to be selectable or show? Is there somewhere this can be enabled, as for a lot of people, using the Insert Image function would be an obvious thing to do?
2. Is there a way to select the default ordering of the images in the gallery, i.e. always show the newest first?
3. I have lots of existing threads I would like to easily convert into Blogs. The ideal way would be like AMS where it takes the first post as the main page, but then building on that does the following:
   1. Convert thread to Blog option
   2. Sets first post as Blog page
   3. Sets every author post with an image as a blog entry
      1. Even better, a way to do the above in batch so multiple threads can be converted at once

Is any of this possible?

The Image Collection (Gallery) and Cover Image feature use the XenForo Attachment System. Hot linked images can not be displayed in the gallery (as they are not attachments that can be fetched), nor can at hot linked image be set as the cover image (it needs to be an XF image attachment).

Is there a way to select the default ordering of the images in the gallery, i.e. always show the newest first?

I use the Core XF Attachment System for managing attachments. There is no feature in the XF Attachments System that lets you re-order attachments. There is an existing suggestion for this functionality posted at XenForo.com in the suggestions forum.

That is not something that I plan to do. I have some simple convert features for Moderators, but its not designed as an importer. You could content Ken aka @mysiteguy he might have a solution for you He's done quite a bit of complex importing of legacy data into my larger complex addons like UBS.
