New Bets (unrelated tabs)

Why when viewing the "New Bets" tab do these two options exist:

They are completely unrelated to Sportsbook and lead to the forums & members tabs. Just seems unnecessary, any reason for this?

Those are Core XenForo "Find New" related Tabs. Those are DEFAULT to XenForo (altho, you can disable New Profile Posts). New Sportsbook and New Bets are ADDED to the Find New system. Any addon can add "New Content" tabs to the find new system.
