    As per title, there is a new permissions that allow you to give Article Authors the ability to feature their own content (Articles).

    Cool! Is there a way to set a date to automatically feature or unfeature an article?

    No, right now its purely manual. One of the EA license holders has made a suggestion for Auto Featuring based on Admin CP set criteria. If you are familiar with the "Featured Threads" addon by Brogan, the auto featuring/unfeaturing would be similar.
