Used as a links / website directory

I am looking for a website links directory so was thinking about using showcase for that, ideally I want to be able to have website name, link and a short description with a picture.

Also wanting to sort by different types or key words etc maybe by using showcase filter add on mod.

Any thoughts on if this would be suitable? thanks.
