That is a User Group permission... There are TWO "Create" permissions. Create Items = No Moderation. Create Items Moderated = sent to the moderation queue. So simply set the create items moderated one to Not Set (no) as shown below.

Yes, Showcase has FULL Category Permissions (just like NODES have full permissions).

If you look at the Category Management landing page, you will see the Permissions Link to the far right of each Category. If there are category permissions SET, the link block will be highlighted in medium blue to give you a quick visual telling you that. Click on the Permissions Link to access the permissions administration.



This is the main landing page for an individual categories user group permissions. It will list ALL your user groups and individual users that have custom permissions set for the specific category. If there are custom permissions for a specific group for the category, it will be highlighted in medium blue (as Administrative is below). Clink on the User Group to set the permissions for that user group for the specific category.


This is the actual permissions page. You set the permissions the same way as you go User Group permissions (they are the same ones, but only apply to this specific category).
