Hello,

does the LD check for broken links in the background?

I found no feature list, so I ask here.

LD has a feature called "URL Checks". Its only for the main URL for the ITEM (some call it a link, but its a URL in reality).

Its a comprehensive system that includes logging, the ability to disable URL Checks on a per Item basis (like being able to disable Amazon.com for example as its notorious for returning false positives on HTTP Status checks) and more.

When a URL check fails, its put into a recheck queue. The recheck queue is checked every 2 hours and if a URL Check fails up to five times, it is sent to the XF Moderation Queue. At that point, you can manually check to see what the issue is (looking at the logs and testing the URL to the site yourself).

Its the same basic concept that most Link Directory addons use.
