Image sizes?

    Hi there,

I may just be mildly retarded, but I can't seem to figure out how to change the image dimensions. I'm trying to change the size of both the cover image displayed on the category pages as well as the image on the individual item pages shown in the right sidebar.

I found a few FAQ-type posts that explained how to change dimensions in the settings and rebuild thumbnails, but I think I'm missing something... Can't figure it out.

Many thanks from this humble Showcase peasant.

If you are using the GRID View layout, the image sizes are not STATIC, they increase and decrease in size dynamically based on the responsive layout settings (

Appearance >> Styles >> STYLE (each one) >> Style Property Groups >> Style Properties: Showcase - Grid View Responsive Design

    Default is 3 - 2 - 2 - 1 if you want smaller images, then maybe try 4 - 3 - 2 - 1

THIS FAQ explains the Grid View (http://addons.nfljunkies.com/threads/faqs.181/#post-5560)

As far as the cover image in the sidebar, that is taking the FULL sized image and using JavaScript to resize/crop it.

This How To explains the sidebar cover image: http://addons.nfljunkies.com/threads/tips-tricks-how-tos.156/#post-1594

btw, the Sliders (Modular Home page layout and the slider for Forum home and BD Widget Framework) do a similar resize/crop (same js), just that they are using the Thumbnail instead of the full image (in case you get to a point where you are trying to tweak those).

The LIST View (same as the RM) uses a helper to render a square ICON.

I've changed the settings mentioned here, but I'm still confused on how to change the overall height:width ratio of those images. Here's what I'm seeing:

I want it to be the full movie cover, not the cropped bit.

The height and width of the thumbnail used for the GRID VIEW is set with this option. When you change this, you HAVE to rebuild the Showcase Thumbnails (not core XF thumbnails). This works exactly like Xen Media Gallery.

    Hi there,

I've changed that and rebuilt the Showcase Thumbnails (this option is at the very bottom of the rebuild cache page of the tools section for me). This is the first thing I tried doing which is why I'm a little confused:

Probably Browser cache... do a HARD refresh (SHIFT F5). I have to do a hard refresh when I change core xf thumbnail size as well was with XMG and Showcase.

Tried that too, LOL. Different browsers also just in case (even IE11... shudder).

Can I get a URL to your site so I can see it via FireBug to see what is being rendered.

We figured it out, guys. Cloudflare caching was the issue.

Thanks to @Bob B for all the help
