Each Pick’em win, generate cash trigger?

    Perhaps suggested before...

    A way to encourage more participants to pick’em... each win generates [tigger] cash reward set by ACP. More cash, more SportsBook activity.

    That’s the idea, anyway.

    I use an external credit system, however. (Brivium)

    Can you explain what you mean by this? There is no "win" function in Pickem, so I am not sure if you are talking about a "win" being that a player made a correct pick OR if you are talking about the 1st/2nd/3rd place settings for a given week or what?

    Yes, cash award per correct pick. That was the logic, anyway.

    One of the guys on my board suggested it, so thought I’d pass along if the idea was interesting.

    Correct picks earn credit. Something like that. My board the cash system is all for fun, credit for participation, spent in SportsBook for bragging rights. That’s how we do it, anyway.

    Ah, that is what I was afraid of. There is no TRANSACTION for a "correct pick", so there is nothing to hook into to trigger a payment based on a correct pick. That's also not how pickem (office pools) work. Only the WINNER of the week gets paid out in real life. Pickem does let you set 1st/2nd/3rd place for each week, so there IS a transaction (when setting the places) that could be used to trigger a function.

    Bob, I have two different users running Sportsbook and Pickem. The Pickem guy is having to ask me (admin) or the Sportsbook mod to manually award winnings. Is there a better way of doing this?

    Not without customization (which would require programming). Its not something I have in the plans, so you'd have to pursue this on your own.
