Consolidating addons under one menu item

Not sure where to put this. Apologies if in the incorrect area as its more of a general question rather than focusing on a particular addon.

So i own the following addons:
sportsbook
pickem
survivor
power ratings

Instead of having 4 different nav items, i wanted to combine them into one nav item (say under the nav item name 'Competitions'. It would look something like...

- Competitions
-- Sports Book
-- Pickem
-- Survivor
-- Power Ratings

Competitons page i can create a widget page, with a combination of HTML in there along with the different renderers for each addon, kinda like an summary of the different competitions going on and a brief explanation.

I foresee the problem i have is that the navsubitems will need to be in the menu as well, else they dont appear as on the sub nav items section. If i have all the items in the menu all consolidated under the one menu item, then they will all be shown in the index page and itll be huge.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get around this. Maybe ive thought it all wrong?

There are several Navigation Menu addons available that will let you create a Tab and Sub Navigation.

With that said, you are just going to confuse the crap out of your members with one giant listing of a sub navigation. There is a reason for separation or you end up with a giant list of links taht make absolutely NO SENSE and make it extremely difficult to understand.

haha yeah. I was actually planning on pruning and renaming that submenu list i.e. people dont really 'watch' and search for stuff like events on my site.

Wish XF 1 had proper nested menu system. Only thing from a admin's point im most looking forward to in XF 2.
