Do you have multiple categories selected in the Categories Chooser for the Home Page Categories Block?
If not, then that is your problem. You need to select the Categories that you wish to display in the Blocks.
if you do have multiple categories selected, do all the selected Categories in the Category Chooser for the Home Page Categories Block have a Category Image assigned (both the name of that image added to the category record and that image uploaded to your file system)
NOTE: Each Style has its own image paths (this is how xenforo itself works), so if you are using a 3rd party style, you'd need to upload images to that 3rd party style.

no worries, there is so much stuff, its easy to miss things here and there. Plus its new, so it might not be that intuitive!
