Answered How to create a Product Store layout type?

For categories that contain purchasable products, I would like to have a 'Product Store' like layout.

I really like this example:

Headsets Archives - Mega electronics

i.e. 4 rows on desktop. Each card only displaying:

• Product image
• Product name
• Brand
• Review stars
• Price
• Large BUY NOW button

And nothing else.

Is it possible to do this by changing Tile layout template somehow? Or would this require a whole new layout?

You would need to modify one of the grid based layout types. You can't just add your own layout type.
