Not out of the box, no, only a single author (just like Threads, Resources, Media etc).
If you are just looking to DISPLAY multiple author names, you could create a custom article field and have that display in the header.
If its collaboration that you are after eg, both authors being able to do all the Management Tools that an author is allowed to do, then that would require a significant amount of customization.
IIRC, there are some existing suggestions for Multiple Authors (or collaboration) that could be considered in the future.
