This might not be feasible right now and perhaps more of a long-term suggestion once xF 2.0 is released in 2018 :)

Take the record of a team out of the hands of a ranking author and have it pulled from some place the admin records it.

Thinking further down the line, the data could be pulled from a new addon that @Bob creates that his other sport addons can utilize. For example, Pickems and Survivor addons have similar team set-ups and it would save people (me) a lot of time and effort setting up and managing everything that is repetitive.

I do think there would be endless applications to such a system as you could theoretically have latest score tickers and the like not to mention have the basis of an integrated league system that could have standings, schedules, etc.

Go big or go home is what I say (except to the wife of course, don't want to put ideas in her head) :)

Just to clear something up so that people understand what the Record data is for.... the entire point of the Record on the Power Ranking is to show what the team record was AT THE TIME OF THE RANKING. It makes no sense to look at week 5 and see the 11-5 Lions ranked dead last in the league, however, it makes perfect sense to see the 0-5 Lions ranked dead last when AT THE TIME, they were the worst team in the league. That functionality is NOT changing as its VITAL to the function/purpose of the Power Ranking.

What you propose (Making it ADMIN driven instead of each member filling it out) would require MAJOR architecture addition to the backend.

Each WEEK of each Season would have Team Records Management in which you'd have to add the Record for each team at THE TIME OF THAT WEEK.
week 1 >> team records >> Roughriders 1-0, Raiders 1-0, Chiefs 0-1, Donkies 0-1 (each team in the sport)
week 2 >> team records >> Roughriders 2-0, Raiders 2-0, Chiefs 0-2, Donkies 1-1 (each team in the sport)
week 3 >> team records >> Roughriders 2-1, Raiders 3-0, Chiefs 0-3, Donkies 1-2 (each team in the sport)
week 4 >> team records >> Roughriders 2-2, Raiders 4-0, Chiefs 0-4, Donkies 1-3 (each team in the sport)

Then anyone creating a Power Ranking for that Week for that Season will pull RECORD data based on that.

Its MORE Management required by the Admin, however, it will at least assure that its the same on all rankings.

Its ONE way or the OTHER tho. Doesn't matter to me as its just as much TIME for me either way.

Yeah I figured as much regarding major architecture changes but let's be honest, you get off on that stuff :)

Seriously though, as I said, something more of looking at the future, especially the new addon that could feed all your other sport-related addons.

Im going to look into it tonigiht as like I said, no matter what, it needs to be entered in (either in the backend or frontend) at least ONCE, so might as well make it a backend type deal to save users TIME (as well as standardized). You won't have some users filling in data, wrong data, or no data. Its probably something I could knock out rather quickly pulling a few late night sessions this early in the game. If not now, then it won't be for awhile.

This is what I've got so far (this is just a PROTO TYPE) and seems to do the trick nicely and also allows for some expansion to store other weekly (and season total) stats (might come in handy for your "FORMS" or what ever the hell you call it lol.

Anyway... on the Season Management Page, there is an new LINK named "History". This is where any and all "History" related management for a given season will be handled. Lets click on the 2015 NFL Pre Season History link.

The Season History Management page will list ALL Teams within the Sport associated with the Season. To Edit a given Teams History, simply click on the Team Name.

The Edit Team History page will list all Weeks that are currently added to the season (in this shot, only 6 weeks have been added so far, however, as soon as I add week 7 to the system, it will appear on this page).

Each Week has fields for Result, Score and Record (Win, Loss and Draw count at that point in time).

The "Result" is stored by the Type of result (Win - Home, Win - Away, Loss - Home, Loss - Away, Draw - Home and Draw - Away). This allows the system to track both Total Wins (adding both Home and Away wins) AND allows for tracking Wins at Home and Wins on the Road (nice for things like CHARTS!)

I made the Score field a single TEXT field so that its not set to a specific sport standard. Its an optional field.

The Record fields (Win, Loss, Draw) are for entering the Record at that point in time. This way when viewing Week 5 Power Rankings, records will reflect that point in time vs the entire season totals.

Thats all I have for now (as that is all I've got done so far). Once I finish up the backend, I will start on the frontend and post another update.

This has been fully implemented. I've explained ALL of the Administrative stuff (and there is no change to what I posted above).

The frontend stuff is pretty basic for now and is built to be expanded on over time.

First change is that the Top area of a Team Block is now only Team/Ranking data (no more addition stuff like records or scores or what not).

All additional data is now in the Bottom area of a Team Block (which Includes Result, Record, Highlight Type and Ranking Comment).

On Team Pages, the Record is displayed in the Team Stats Block. I plan on adding more Historical Data display in later versions of the addon.
