I was putting in the scores for Survivor and got the scores crossed up giving the loser the winning score. I hit save and then realized my mistake. I went back in and changed the scores but it doesn't seem to be updating.

I'm wondering if I can fix this. Thanks.

It is an extremely COMPLEX multi layer function that simply CAN NOT be "reversed". You CAN change the score, but what it CAN NOT DO is undo the ELIMINATION PROCESS (Giving out the Strikes, checking to see if the person has the max strikes and if they do, eliminate them).

The good news is, you are not ALONE and it IS fixable and only takes a few minutes of your time. I do it at least once a year myself, which is why I built in the ability to EDIT each player in the pool to manage their Strikes, Status and Streak).

Yes, but its going to require you to edit each of the players involved with that particular game (those that received strikes and possible elimination and those that didn't receive a strike and possible elimination and should have)

First, set the score right (which it sounds like you have). That in itself will fix SOME of the problems, but not all of it. You'll need to fix the PLAYER end of things with the Player Management Functionality that comes with Survivor.

Next you need to make a list of the players (and their User IDs) that picked either of the teams involved with that game. Should only take you a few minutes since that info is available on the main survivor page.

Next, go into the Admin CP and into Survivor Pool Management. Each Pool has a Player Management Area. Click on the Players: # link to access that area (see next image)

Here is the Player Management Main page. It lists all the players in the Pool and says what their Status is (Active or Eliminated). You will need to edit EACH player involved (only takes a few seconds per player).

There are 4 values that can be changed (Status, Streak, Strikes and Week Eliminated). I posted 3 pics so you could see the drop down values in each.

Simply CHANGE the what should be the correct values.

If someone received a STRIKE when they should not have, change the strikes received to reflect what they SHOULD have eg.. if its 2, change it to 1.

If someone did not received a STRIKE when they should have, change the strikes received to reflect what they SHOULD have eg.. if its 1, change it to 2.

If they were ELIMINATED, change their status to ACTIVE.

If they SHOULD have been ELIMINATED, change their status to Eliminated (as well as set the correct week that they were eliminated in)

    Really simply to handle.

Thanks for taking the time to walk me through that. The game I goofed was the Titans vs. Browns. I must be having a hard time accepting that loss. ;)

25 players in single elimination and all were out by last night. :) We're starting over.

    So did I!

Small pool here but after 2 weeks, we are already down to 2 survivors and that is only because one member decided to change his pick to the Jets from the Colts around noon yesterday :)

best part is that you can quickly just create a new pool and keep on having fun on your own site.
